And so it begins!

Huckabee???? Huckabee??? I can't imagine a president named Huckabee!! Oh, wow~this is so crazy. I don't know what to think. And the projection for Dems is Obama...huh? Are they kidding?!! He is soooo not ready for the office! I think this country has finally lost its collective mind...

Huckabee will probably not win the Republican nomination. He is ignorant on foreign policy and too liberal on economics. But it is actually good to see that the winner in Iowa is not just the big money raiser. It actually gives everybody else a shot at winning the nomination.

Obama's win is a sign that people would like to move away from the partisan feuds of the Clintons and he is running on a theme of national reconciliation and optimism. He'll have to square his theme with the reality of his voting record, but I think people are responding to the optimism when he speaks of opportunity and aspiration as opposed to Edwards' victims and villians. I still think when it comes down to it, Hillary will get the nod. But it is actually encouraging to see people looking for something else. It's not all about the money this time...idealism has a voice.

oh, i totally agree...however, it is my hope hillary doesn't get the nod. i think she's too devisive and we have had enuff of that!

aside from edwards' rhetoric, he actually has a few good ideas. but can the democratics combine all that is good about them to overcome what is negative remains to be seen. same goes for the other side.

i was happy to hear the speeches made after the caucus...all sides were positive and it made me feel happy to move forward. both sides were compelling and i felt there was a sense of grace-not ususal for politiks!!!
