Well...
I fell pretty bad today. I got a 49 on my chem test, 72 on Bio, 76 on lab practical, 83 on my nutrition test. I can drop the chem grade, but it will be difficult to keep up the 70% I have in the class. I have solid B in bio and an A in Nutrition.
I am re-taking chem in the fall with a different teacher. My advisor was a little upset that I have to do that, but I told her there was no way I will take it again with Dr. Steel! She understood, and it won't hurt me to do it again.
I just feel crappy...very sad. Never flunked before in college; it's a horrible feeling!

keep your chin up! It is not a sign of stupid students, but of a poor teacher. Especially at the college level. If you give a test and many people fail, either you haven't taught the material well enough or you gave a crappy test!
my advisor said she feels bad when 4 or more fail her tests.
she also said that the bio department is really on top of things and hold themselves accountable when students fail!
i am sooo glad i am in biology!
