I view going to the shrink like a trip to the salon: My head looks great when I leave, but an hour later, it's all fucked up!

Do they consider number of kids in any resonable way?
my EFC was too high for grants also. you have to be on other transfer programs and not working at all basically to get that low enough to qualify for anything. anyone can get government guaranteed stafford loans though. they are the lowest available interest rate and you can get both subsidized and unsubsidized loans (meaning the gov't pays the interest on one but not the other). that is how i paid my way through school and they have given me 20 years to pay them back.
that's my hope...the stafford loans.
and no...# of kids only counts if we made $5000 a year!
but i am glad that job is done. gawd, it took forever to do!
financial aid is a farce... i found that out when i was at ycp... we had 2 kids in college + me... i didn't qualify and neither did they... sheesh... i'm still paying it off!
The cost of college just does not make sense...the cost of educating students hasn't increased at NEAR the level of tuition increases.
