Guess what tomorrow holds for me!?
Well, first~let the teacher know that if your kids isn't learning, it's the TEACHER'S fault!
Be sure to emphasize your superiority by sitting at the teacher's desk and making the teacher sit at the kid's desk.
Bring in your child's tests and prove to the teacher your child should not penalized for having wrong answers as it lowers yours child's self-esteem.
Insist your child is "gifted" and the teacher doesn't see it.
And never show fear, teachers can smell it; be on the defense!

Yes, your info on Parent-Teacher Conferences is about 25 years too late for me. But then, no one had blogs way back then to share this type of knowledge.
I appreciate your candor and assessment of the situation.
