Our last college visit!!

Founded in 1865 by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White, Cornell University was a first among many institutions of it’s time.

Originally granted land in Wisconsin under Roosevelt’s Land Grant intiative, Ezra Cornell sold his land to farmers and founded the school on his farm land in Upstate New York.

Together with Andrew White, Cornell’s first prsident, the Cornell created a learning atmosphere with the philosphy . “ I would find an institution where any person can find instruction in any study.”

Cornell was the first of the Ivy Leagues to educate women, as well as a firm commitment to separation of church and state; Cornell has never been affliated with any religious denomination.

Now our Darlin' Daughter has some deciding to do!!!! She loved Cornell. Although it's bigger than she'd like in some aspects, it also will provide her with the most opportunities. She is worried about her workload, as Cornell is known for it's rigorous studies and excellence in education. I simply told her it's purely her's to decide and if she needs to take her time, she can do degree in 5 years instead of 4. (Who cares, really, how long it takes, as long as it takes!!!)
