Been canning again!
Last week, I left a note at Brown's requesting to know when they were going to receive concord grapes from Naylor's vineyard. Jeff at Brown's called me and gave me close to 20# of concord grapes for a little over a $1 a pound. I have been busy making jelly and juice. I used agave nectar for the juice; made the juice real smooth! I love grape jelly and the grapes this year are as perfect as I have seen them in a long time! I think our summer was a great season for fruit! I have some peaches to can tomorrow and I am hanging up the chef's hat until apple season. I wanna can some pink applesauce!

pink applesauce, huh... are the apples you plan to use going to make it pink or something you will be adding to the sauce?
