Oil me, spoil me!
Bush Didn't Bungle Iraq, You Fools
By Greg Palast; March 23, 2006, published on March 23, 2006 by ZNET.
Get off it. All the carping, belly-aching and complaining about George Bush's incompetence in Iraq, from both the Left and now the Right, is just dead wrong. On the third anniversary of the tanks rolling over Iraq's border, most of the 59 million Homer Simpsons who voted for Bush are beginning to doubt if his mission was accomplished. But don't kid yourself -- Bush and his co-conspirator, Dick Cheney, accomplished exactly what they set out to do. In case you've forgotten what their real mission was, let me remind you of White House spokesman Ari Fleisher's original announcement, three years ago, launching of what he called, "Operation Iraqi Liberation."

Nice piece of fiction...if there was even a grain of truth, the Bush opposition would have gone to extremes to drill in Alaska and off the coast of Fl. just to derail the plan. Yet another unrealistic conspiracy theory.
...besides...Iraq already was the only country other than Algeria whose oil production was down before the invasion. Remember, when they invaded Kuwait they were forced to decrease production. It just doesn't make any logical sense.
wow, i'm literally speachless... i hardly know what to say... there is nothing in this report i haven't read elsewhere from places like the washington post, the boston globe, the new york times, the chicago tribune... this isn't fiction, nor is it conspiracy against bush... what we have here is a commentary on the truth... mr. bush isn't concerned about the average american in any way other than this-- in mr. bush's esteemed estimation it is good business to support big business (i.e. big oil) because big business creates jobs for the masses... like how's that working for america these days? it isn't!
...4.7 unemployment rate
so true... even burger king is hiring
Look..all I'm saying is the papers used to say we were going to war to get control of oil so we could have cheap gas. When the prices went up, suddenly it must have been to raise prices. What will they say if prices come down again? They'll say, "see...we told you..." If Bush was soley interested in doing what big oil wanted he would have taken the completely opposite actions. Big oil had been pressuring Washington for years to remove or lighten up the sanction on Saddam. Their production was already reduced...it's just not logical.
